The Olivier Awards 2013 will celebrate the fantastic achievement of the best theatremakers in the world with its fabulous ceremony at the Royal Opera House on 28 April hosted by Sheridan Smith and Hugh Bonneville, and attended by West End stars, powerhouse producers, screen and music idols and a host of London’s most illustrious movers and shakers.
In 2013, the hugely popular Covent Garden Piazza celebration, which was first staged in 2012, returns for a second year, giving theatergoers without a ticket to the ceremony the chance to head to London and be part of the action. In 2013, BBC Radio 2 will host the stage in London’s iconic market square, where live performances will precede a live screening of the ceremony.
The Olivier Awards also return to television screens in 2013, with ITV set to broadcast a fantastic highlights show featuring the very best moments of the evening soon after the ceremony has come to a close at the Royal Opera House.
