  1. I am so excited for out concert of Marvin Hamlisch’s amazing music! Aside from being a musical genius and a brilliant composer, he was one of the kindest most generous people I have ever known.

Being able to perform his music brings a little light into our crazy world. When we sing his “One Song” tonight we sing from our hearts…

    These words my friends!

“…Just think how great the song would be
And since the song is in freedom’s key
One voice you’d hear, so pure, so clear
    Imagine what tomorrow would bring

If we all sing one song
There’s just one sun that warms our day
The same moon and stars light our way
This little ball whirling in space
It’s our only home, our only place

If we all sing one song
    One song of love
    One song of peace
One song to make all our troubles cease…”

  3. Singing these words again on Saturday with J. Ernest Green and the Annapolis Chamber Orchestra will mean so much right now. Music by our dear friend Marvin Hamlisch. Lyrics by Alan and Marilyn Bergman.

“If we all sing one song,
    One song of love,
    One song of peace,
One song to make all our troubles cease,
    Imagine what tomorrow would bring,
If we all sing one song.”
